Gareth Parry TEP

Gareth joined us in the summer of 2017 from Cheltenham firm Hughes Paddison Solicitors, where he had been head of the private client department for eleven years. Before that, he was a partner in Thomson & Bancks Solicitors.

Whilst he specialises in all aspects of private client work, he has a particular expertise in inheritance tax planning and acting for business owners and other clients with complicated asset structures. Gareth is well-known for his ability as a strategist and finds innovative solutions for his clients. As a trusted advisor to wealthy families, he helps to ensure wealth is protected for future generations. He is a full member of STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, which marks him out as a specialist in his field of work.

Many of Gareth’s clients choose to appoint him as an attorney and trustee of their family trusts. He is an experienced Court of Protection Deputy. His charity work includes acting as a trustee of leading Gloucestershire care home charity, Lilian Faithfull Care.

Outside of work, Gareth lives in Cheltenham with his wife and children. He likes to cycle and support his son’s junior rugby at local club Old Patesians. He also turns out in support of Gloucester and his native Wales. He is a bit of a petrolhead, an occasional speaker at a local wine club and can often be found at the stove, where is he a keen cook.
